Philosophy

I have a simple philosophy and that is to improve the lives of my patients. As a surgeon, I focus on my patients’ physical well-being, but what my practice is really about is improving my patients’ life-long psychological health and emotional fulfillment.

Hair loss in men is inextricably linked to self-image and for many it even represents a loss of control over their lives. Yes, there are some men who are comfortable with the thinning or loss of their hair. What I have personally seen, however, and what studies show, is that for many men experience depression and anxiety as their hair thins and recedes.

We all must recognize that hair loss can be life-altering event that is anything but trivial. As many as a third of all men, and likely more as most do not talk about it, feel a loss of confidence and experience subtle yet discouraging changes in their personal and professional relationships.

This is because they feel less attractive and socially out-of-sync. For some this physical-psychological state, if left untreated, can have lasting negatively self-reinforcing effects on a man’s professional, social, and personal well-being.

I admire my patients’ courage in pursuing physical enhancements in such a personal area of their lives. I feel deeply privileged to be the person they have chosen to share their anxieties and to discuss objectively what goals are attainable and what real and proven actions we can take together to reach them.

Now if this sounds like you, keep reading. There is not merely hope. Hair restoration is medical science. Treatment today is not the hair plugs of our father’s generation. There are a variety of hair restorative medications, tools, and yes, surgical procedures that can slow down, stop, and may reverse thinning or hair loss. My approach to hair restoration is part medical and part artistic. Hair restoration design and grafting absolutely must be performed immaculately by a physician-artist who is creative, detail oriented, focused on you, and uncompromisingly meticulous. These are the essential traits that originally attracted me to cosmetic surgery.

Composition, balance, and grace in movement are all guiding passions. So it may not surprise you that I am also an accomplished sculptor. Understanding the patients’ facial features and their relation to the hairline and hair growth patterns is an absolute necessity in achieving natural-looking hair. Being a perfectionist may not be a good quality in a spouse or a significant other, but I think you would agree with me that it is a very desirable trait for a surgeon.

An essential part of my surgical and hair restoration practice is my accessibility to my patients. It starts with a thorough consultation. This is not just about me asking you questions, but also you discussing with me, in as much detail as you wish, your concerns and your goals. We will never rush through our consultations, and we will take as much time as you would like.

During a procedure we will never leave your side or leave my responsibility to someone else during that procedure. Post-operatively you are still in my care. That means all patients have my direct cellular telephone number so that they can contact me personally regarding any issues.

I am honored and humbled to have last year received “The Patients’ Choice Award” for a 6th consecutive year. The award, given by The American Registry, is based on national online patient reviews and evaluates care provided by thousands of physicians and their clinics across America.

My honors include:

  • Diplomate of American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery
  • Member of International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery.
  • Winner of Patients’ Choice Award 6 years running
  • Selected by Best Docs Network as “Best of the Best”.
  • On of the Best Reviewed Hair Transplant Surgeons in Texas.

I would be happy to sit down with you and discuss any concerns you have about thinning hair and hair loss, and what options are available. Again, call my office at (972) 2- ARMANI, and let’s book a consultation appointment.

About my education: After attending Southern Methodist University (SMU) right here in Dallas, I was fortunate enough to receive my medical school training at the prestigious University of Texas (UT) Southwestern School of Medicine. UT is a top medical school, particularly in the field of medical research. It was there I started my research in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department (headed by the world renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Rod Rohrich). I received my post graduate internship training in General Surgery at University California San Diego (UCSD) Medical center in California, before returning to Dallas.

Although my cosmetic practice in Dallas is limited to Hair Transplantation, I am personally fortunate to have the opportunity to volunteer with various charitable medical organizations in Latin America in order to help the less fortunate, particularly children, with facial deformities.
